One of New Delhi’s oldest institutes, AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) runs a seven-year course for students aiming to become doctors. It  ranked as India’s best institution offering undergraduate medical education by a survey conducted by magazine Outlook. Its campus is spread over many acres,it also has housing, teaching hospitals, research facilities, and other amenities like libraries, lecture halls, laboratories, canteens and hostels. The renowned institute also has links with global medical bodies such as WHO (World Health Organization). Candidates appearing for AIIMS entrance exams should have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination before applying.

PGIMER Chandigarh

The Maulana Azad Medical College began its operations in 1959 as part of the University of Delhi. The college offers a wide range of medical programs, including MBBS, MD, MS, Diploma, and MD. Admission to all courses is purely on merit. NEET scores are used for MBBS admissions. And NEET-PG scores are used for MD, MS, and Diploma admissions. NEET-SS is used to determine admission to M.Ch.
