5 Spectacular Historical Sites in Gujarat that you must visit

Gujarat has almost 4,500 years of history. So it is no wonder that it’s rich in historically and architecturally significant sites as well. Here are some of the top five historical sites in Gujarat, ranging from ruins of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization to antique stepwells.

Lothal, which dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization. It is one of the best and most visited historical sites in Gujarat. Ancient ruins from that time period, including a burial site, semi-precious stones, residential complexes, and a dockyard, are well worth a visit. An archaeological museum houses items such as terracotta ornamentation, painted ceramics, beads, bronze, copper, and shell objects, as well as human and animal figurines.

4.Lakshmi Vilas Palace

Laxmi Vilas Palace, one of  most prominent historical sites in Gujarat. It is the home of Vadodara’s royal family, Gaekwad. Maharaja Sayaji Rao III erected the property in 1890, and it has a long and illustrious history. The front, which covers 500 acres and created in the Indo-Saracenic Revival style. It is intricately designed which has excellent structures in every inch.

5.Prag Mahal Bhuj

Prag Mahal, in the outskirts of Bhuj, is one of India’s most famous architectural masterpieces. It is from the nineteenth century and features Gothic windows and Corinthian pillars. The palace was important in allowing Britishers to spread their influence throughout Bhuj. Colonel Henry Saint Wilkins was commissioned to create this magnificent mansion during the reign of Pragmali II.It is an  architectural Wonder and must visit historical sites in Gujarat.
