CBSE Announced 30% Reduction for 2022-23 Syllabus

CBSE has released the syllabus for students in grades 10 and 12 on their website. This year’s amended syllabus includes even more cuts to important courses, with the board agreeing to reduce the number of chapters for this year as well. In addition, the CBSE syllabus has not been separated into terms, signalling that term-based board exams will be phased out in March in favour of a single board exam.

Syllabus Reduced; 30 percent cut maintained by the Board

On the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in, the new syllabus for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2022-23 is now accessible. While a thorough report on the actual deduction is forthcoming, teachers have already revealed that some chapters and units have been removed, while others have been reinstated. Overall, the board has kept the 30% reduction in the syllabus. At cbseacademic.nic.in, students may now check the revised curriculum and syllabus for class 10, 12, and board exams 2022-23.

CBSE introduced single term annual exam ; No more division expected

Due to Coronavirus infection, the CBSE Board Exam Syllabus for the 2021-22 exam was split in half. In term 1, 50% of the weightage is provided, while the remaining 50% is given in term 2. This year’s syllabus does not include such a division. Official CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exam Circular 2022-23 is still pending. It is recommended that students and parents wait for the official circular. Although it is evident from the syllabus that single annual examinations are making a comeback, it is best to wait until the board issues an official announcement.
