1) Indian Museum In Kolkata- West Bengal

The Indian Museum opened to the public in 1814 .The location is on Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Kolkata. 2) National Museum- Delhi

Opened to the public on august 1 st 1949, it houses a large collection of ancient artifacts from across India. The museum exhibits around 26000 items. Some of these are everyday objects used by people over centuries and some are historically priceless jewels and precious art pieces which tell us about not only history but also culture of Indian Civilization. 3) Archeological Museum In Lothal- Ahmedabad

Lothal, which is located at a distance of 80 km from Ahmedabad city, dates back to 2100 BC. Excavations have unearthed beautiful objects from Lothal that speak about its trade links with Indus Valley Civilization and Mesopotamia. The museum houses terracotta figurines of bulls, elephants, dogs and wheeled toys; seals inscribed with Indus signs; votive bronze figures representing Mother Goddesses; and other small artefacts like beads, bangles etc. The museum also displays pottery excavated from Mohenjo Daro and Harappa alongside those obtained from other parts of Gujarat.

4) Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Museum Mumbai

Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Museum is an architecturally designed museum located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
