Three applicants paid Rs 6 to 8 lakh to acquire the question paper and answers. They received an unexpected 70 marks in the exam. A printing press is thought to have leaked the paper. The accused from Haryana and Delhi are the ones who leaked the material. Meanwhile, all three candidates are being held by the police.
Police Action on Paper Leak
Kangra police have registered a FIR under section 420 against the accused at Gagal police station in Kangra after confirming the document leak. Late last night, Kangra SP Khushal Chand Sharma informed Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and DGP Sanjay Kundu about the situation. The registration of the case has been confirmed by the SP. The SP created squads late at night and dispatched them to Haryana and Delhi to apprehend the suspects. According to the SP, three youths paid Rs 6 to 8 lakh for the question paper before taking the written exam.
The suspicious marks of the candidates leaked the scam
After the written exam results were released on April 5, the passed candidates were summoned by police around the state to verify their documents. The appointment was to take place after that. During the document review, SP Kangra became suspicious of three young people. The three teenagers received 70 out of a possible 90 points. However, their grade in class X was only 50%. The three teenagers were each questioned separately by the SP. The three young men were apprehended during a police interrogation and revealed that they paid Rs 6 to 8 lakhs for answers to typed questions before the written exam.
Police Recruitment Exam Complete Details
On March 27, a recruitment examination for 1334 Himachal Pradesh Police Constables was held. The results for 932 male, 311 female constables, and 91 male constables as driver jobs were announced on April 5, 2022. The written exam was conducted in the first part at 81 locations around the state. In the written test, over 60 thousand individuals applied for constable male positions and over 14 thousand candidates applied for constable female positions.
