LPG Gas Cylinder Prices Rise by Rs. 50 — May 2022

While the costs of petrol and diesel have been unchanged for a month, the country’s common people, who are already dealing with inflation, received another jolt on Saturday. This setback has fouled up the middle class family’s kitchen budget. The household gas cylinder prices have increased by Rs 50. Following this, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased to Rs 999.50. The revised tariffs are in effect as of today, May 7.

Prices increase in a span of just one month

Breach in 6 months stability of LPG Prices

It’s worth mentioning that the price of a household gas cylinder was raised earlier in March as well, with the price in Delhi rising to Rs 949.50. Let us remind you that on March 22, the price of a subsidised household LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 50.

LPG cylinder pricing had been constant for approximately six months prior to March 22. After October 6, 2021, the price of a household LPG cylinder remained unchanged. A household gas cylinder’s price was increased by Rs 50 on October 6, bringing it to Rs 899.50 in Delhi and Mumbai, Rs 926 in Kolkata, and Rs 915.50 in Chennai. However, the price of a 14.2 kilogramme cylinder was hiked twice in a period of two month this time.

LPG Prices after today’s increase in different states and Cities 

The price of a 14.2 kg household LPG cylinder in Patna has increased to Rs 1089.5 following this rise on Saturday. Meanwhile, the domestic cylinder in Lucknow has increased to Rs 1037.5. In Punjab, the price has risen to Rs. 1035. In Agra, the same cylinder will now cost Rs. 1012.50. In Kolkata, the price is Rs 1026, 999.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 1015.50 in Chennai.
