T20 World Cup 2022 | India’s Schedule and Challenges

Hey guys, Welcome to FactsMinister. To day we are going to talk about the T20 World Cup 2022. The world cup will be hosted by Australia. And this is going to be the 8th addition of this ICC event.

After the significant disappointment in Dubai’s 2021 T20 world cup, India will be looking to win this championship learning from earlier mistakes. This article will show you the schedule and challenges ahead for India in the World cup.

T20 World Cup 2022 — India’s Schedule

India will be playing their first match on 23 rd October [ Group 2] against their all-time rival Pakistan. Exactly after a year, these two teams will be facing each other. Last year the match was held in Dubai International Stadium with 25,000. This year the game will be held in a 1,00,024 capacity crowd, so if covid slows down, we can expect a record-breaking crowd here. Pakistan will continue their best form with their openers and top-class bowlers.

Similarly, with a strong team under Rohit Sharma, India will look forward to continuing their feat of winning against Pakistan. India’s second Super 12 encounter in Group 2 was against South Africa in Perth. November 2nd, India will be playing against Bangladesh.

Even though all these games are essential for India, the match against Pakistan will be a big one. South Africa, too with a young team under Temba Bavuma, is giving a tough fight as they have the confidence of defeating solid teams in recent times. In the last world cup, South Africa just failed to qualify for the semi-finals, but they look forward to winning the cup this year. Bangladesh lost all the matches they played in the previous year, but with a big win against New Zealand, this year’s test cricket will give them a little confidence.

India’s Challenges Ahead

India needs to work hard to win this edition’s World cup. The main challenge for the Indian team is its batting line up which is below average these days. The recent first ODI against South Africa proves that we need to improve our middle order. Rohit Sharma and Kl Rahul are the best openers in the world right now and should capitalize further to give a good start. Virat Kohli and Rishabh pant should carry forward and help India score on the board or defend the runs.

Bowlers are in excellent form these days, Jasprit bumrah and Mohammed Siraj will be essential for India. Harshal Patel or Avesh khan should be given a chance to see their performance in Ipl 2022 as they have a good slow ball and Yorkers. Ultimately it’s on the players and the selectors to give their level best and make our country proud by winning the world cup.
