The world badminton federation (BWF) has listed the top 5 Indian badminton players participating in international competitions and has bagged many medals and titles. Here is the list of these badminton players in India
1) PV Sindhu

Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian professional badminton player. Sindhu, who is regarded as one of India’s most successful athletes, has won medals at numerous tournaments, including the Olympics and the Badminton world championship. She is the first and only Indian to win the Badminton World Championships, and she is only the second Indian athlete to win two straight Olympic medals. In April 2017, she reached a career-high global rating of no. 2 for the first time. She is currently ranked 7 th.

2) Saina Nehwal

Saina Nehwal is a legendary Indian badminton player who ranks top in the history of badminton carrer. She has won over more than twenty international titles and also numerous Superseries crowns,also she former world no.1 champion. Although she achieved 2 nd rank in 2009, it was not until 2015 that she was able to earn world number one, making her the only female player from India and the second Indian player (after Prakash Padukone) to do so. She’s competed in three Olympics for India, winning a bronze medal in her second appearance. She is the first Indian to have won a medal in every major BWF individual event, including the Olympics, World Championships, and World Junior Championships. She is the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal, as well as the first Indian to reach the BWF World Championships final and the only Indian to win the BWF World Junior Championships.She is currently ranked 19 th position.
3) Kidambi Srikanth

Srikanth Kidambi is a badminton player from India who practises at Hyderabad’s Gopichand Badminton Academy.In 2018 he was ranked number one player in men’s single creating a history for india. In 2018, Kidambi received the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour. [1], as well as the Arjuna Award in 2015. In 2021, he became the first Indian to reach the men’s singles final at the World Championships, where he earned a silver medal. His current ranking is 10th in the world.

4) HS Prannoy

Prannoy H.S. broke into the international stage when he won Silver at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore, his first international medal. Later same year, in Guadalajara, Mexico, he won the bronze medal in Boys’ singles at the World Junior Badminton Championships. Prannoy made his first Grand Prix Gold final at the Vietnam Open in 2014, being runner-up against Indonesia’s Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka. He won his first Grand Prix Gold championship in the Indonesia Open that year, defeating tournament favourite Firman Abdul Kohlik.His current rank is 26th
5) Hegde Sai Praneeth

Hegde Sai Praneeth is one of the leading badminton players in India. After Prakash Padukone in 1983, Praneeth became the first Indian male shuttler to earn a bronze medal in the BWF World Championships in 2019. In 2019, he was also awarded with the Arjun Award.His current ranking is 18th.
