1) Mohammed Rafi

Mohammed Rafi was born on 24 December 1924 in Punjab, India. He was one of Hindi cinema’s greatest playback singers, whose songs for Bollywood films remain evergreen hits. Along with Kishore Kumar  he holds an honored place in Bollywood music. He recorded songs for nearly a thousand Hindi films in a variety of Indian and other languages, however his primary languages were Urdu and Punjabi, which he spoke well. Throughout his career, he recorded almost seven thousand songs in multiple languages.Md Rafi received six film fare award and 1 national award.He also won a Padma Shri title 

2) Kishore Kumar

If a single name defines Bollywood playback singing for more than half a century, it’s that of Kishore Kumar. One of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated singers and actors, Kishore won eight Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and also won National Film Awards. Apart from Hindi, he sang in many different languages including assamese,gujarati, kannada etc. He has released a few non-film albums, particularly in Bengali, that are considered all-time classics.

3) Lata Mangeshkar

Her illustrious career spanned more than half a century, with thousands of songs recorded in 36 languages. Lata Mangeshkar’s voice was the soundtrack to hundreds of Indian films – and countless more lives – as a Bollywood playback singer. For her innumerable melodic songs, she is also known as India’s nightingale. In 2001, the Indian government honoured her with the Bharat Ratna award, recognising her achievements. She has left her songs and an unrivalled legacy in this world.

4) S. P. Balasubrahmanyam

The God gifted Balasubrahmanyam made his film music debut as a singer in Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna, a film scored by his guru Kodandapani, on December 15, 1966. Since then, he has sung over 40,000 songs in five Indian languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam. In the Guinness Book of World Records, he holds the distinction for having sung the most number of song recordings by any vocalist.He received six national awards , six filmfare awards also Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan for his melody.

5) Asha Bhosle

Like her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle was taught classical music by her father Deenanath Mangeshkar. She is a playback singer from India. Her flexibility as a singer is well-known. Her career began in 1943 and has spanned more than seven decades. She has sung in over a thousand films as a playback singer. She has also released several private CDs and performed solo performances in India and overseas.She received seven film fare awards and two national awards along with Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
